HIKE TO EMERALD LAKE AND MORE

We went on one last hike in Rocky Mountain National Park before the cold weather hit. This was our final destination...Emerald Lake Incredible views This is a little out of order but this is my Grandpa reading me my favorite book...Curious George. Daddy saving my finger from this dishwasher! Ok...back to my hike. Although the trees were done changing here, the colors were still beautiful! I found a walking stick just my size! It was extremely cold by the lake but worth our time to enjoy some lunch and take in the views. Hey...I'm over to the right dad! Look at that cool log!
This is the view from my house just after our first dusting of snow. I know...back to my hike. Dad was super man carrying me the entire way. I love you daddy! Family photo. I have become a real good hiker and mom is patient enough to let me go! Until next time...

FINALLY HOME

Do you know where I get to live? Right in my very own tree house in the mountains! Mom and dad are happy to finally be in their home. It's been 4 years since they have been away and they are excited to share it all with me and my new sibling still in mommy's belly. This is my very own playground and the views I am blessed with every single day! I even have friends that come to visit me right in my front yard. This is my friend deer and he has lots of brothers and sisters. I love my new home!

LIVING IN THE MOMENT

Who wants to live in the moment of packing to move in just 2 days? Not me...so I convinced mom and dad that we should go see what fall looks like in Rocky Mountain NP. It was pretty easy to talk them into it! You would not believe what I got to see! A huge bull elk! Or in my language (Dah!) That stands for dog which every animal I see is a "dah" Fall in Rocky Mountain NP is spectacular. The leaves are starting to change and it makes for some pretty scenery! I had to watch my step for some elk poop but had fun exploring the country. Behind us is the Alluvial Fan. Dad taught me that this was once a dam break...whatever that means? Very pretty I must say! There was just way too much to see here. Mr. Independent Beautiful huh? I got to see so many elk it was amazing! The bulls were bugling trying to impress the ladies. It was a very neat sound that I can even imitate. I'll let you know if it works for the human type ladies. Thank you Jesus for this beautiful place. Dad and I explored one of the falls. We tried to follow it up stream but soon ran out of trail...bummer. I even got to ride on my daddy when my little legs got tired. Mommy lets me climb the big rocks even though daddy gets very nervous!
Mom gave me some pretty cool piggy back rides and even let me play the drums on her back with my sticks! My serious pose. My cute pose. My contemplating pose. Thanks mom and dad for taking me to such a beautiful place.

Today

Since Mom has been super busy trying to pack the house one box at a time, taking pictures of me has become far on her list of things to do. So we made sure today we documented parts of my day! This is me getting super excited to go for a run with my mom. This is my super cool ride! On our run, I get to see ducks, trees, birds, and sometimes swans and blue herons...my favorite! After our run, I tried to help mom rake up some leaves. She says she won't miss raking this year! Leaves are really one of my favorite things to collect. Every day mom takes me for a walk and I get to pick them off all the bushes and trees on the way! I was a little upset when mom told me that I wont get to pick leaves at my new house!

This will soon be my playground since it is right across the street from my new house! It's a big playground but so much more yet to explore! Snow capped mountains See ya next time!

These boots are made for Canyon!

Mom says that some day I will grow into these boots and they will be all mine! Do you think the color is good for me? This is me pretending to lasso a cow. Maybe I'll ask my dad to make me a real one when he gets home from work...then I will be OFFICIAL!

Future Career?

I am trying to figure out just what I'd like to be when I grow up. It's important at my age to explore all my options. Being a scholar was on my top ten list. Or even a musician. I do love music. After much debate and a quick look in the mirror I think I figured it out! I make one good lookin cowboy!
