Dressing up = Candy?

Daddy's work had a costume contest so we thought it would be a good idea to support this event! I talked daddy into dressing up just like me!
Mommy and baby Sawyer were Thing 1 and Thing 2!
We dressed up for Grandma and Grandpa too! I decided I wanted to be a colonial boy and Sawyer wanted to be a turkey! These are our outfits for the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day so you will see them again!
I got to dress up again and go get candy from Grandpa and Grandmas neighborhood. It was a ton of fun. Thomas the train was my choice of costume for this time.
We sat there my family, we sat there we four
We posed and posed, till our butts were sore
To fun to pass up, mom wanted a post
A family picture, of who's cutest the most
It could be my mom, it could be my dad
Their pretty cute, and would be glad
But the truth is it's us!, my brother and me
The cutest of all, it's plain to see!

October Blizzard

This is my happy snow face! Want to know why? Because my daddy thought ahead and bought me a sled knowing there was a chance of us getting a ton of snow!
Even mommy was proud of daddy!
Baby Sawyer came out to watch me try out my new sled.
Mom made us pose before the fun could begin.
Daddy was very patient with me. This was about the extent of my sledding fun today. You have to take it slow when being introduced to a very scary sled.
Mom was brave and excited to get on the sled and go down the big hill on the side of our house. This is where she landed...in a deep spot!
Mom again showing me how to do it right!
Baby Sawyer was super brave and went with daddy on the sled.
This is daddy crashing in the snow. He was very brave too and went down the big hill like mommy. Halee ran up to daddy right away to make sure he was ok after taking such a big spill!
After our sledding adventure I decided to help mommy make some soup for dinner. I am her biggest helper lately and love to do it all by myself.
While waiting for the soup to be done daddy and I decided that we were going to be lions!
Baby Sawyer was the best lion of all!
I love my little brother and am so glad he is mine!
It was an exhausting day but all in all a very fun one!

Treatsylvania with my girl Trinity

Taking your girl to the best fall festival in town makes for a great night! Trinity really thinks I am quite the character!
Things were going quite smoothly until we saw something rather frightening! Turns out it was just a spider. It's a good thing I am super brave.
The only thing that makes a scared belly happy is to fill it with candy!
Trinity was still a little scared from the spider incident so I took her to the pumpkin patch and told her the story "It's a great pumpkin, Charlie Brown." After the story we decided to go find more candy!
Baby Sawyer decided he wanted to be a puppy dog.
I also took him to the pumpkin patch and told him a story about where pumpkins come from. He was very interested in this story.
My brother was very cute in his costume. I heard lots of silly people say "what a cute lamb!" Surely they haven't seen a lamb in a while.
This is my family.
And this is Trinity's family.

Pumpkin Fun with Grandma and Grandpa

Grandparents are super cool not only because they love me but because they are full of great ideas! My Grandma is super creative and helped me decorate my very own pumpkins!
The pumpkin on the left is Grandpa. I made him look as real as possible. I made his ears big because grandpa is a very good listener. His hair is super cool too.
As you can see, it looks just like my grandpa...even Sawyer says so.
This is my daddy! He is super silly so this pumpkin really sums it up!
Thanks grandma for decorating pumpkins with me. I had so much fun!

Delicate Arch Hike and Race Day

Hiking to Delicate Arch was a last minute adventure we weren't sure we could endure after running the 1/2 marathon that morning. Katie and I decided we had it in us and we were glad we did it!
This is our 3rd time doing this hike but our first as a family! Greg and I did it on one of our first vacations together and returned a second time during our year travels. It was fun to share it with our boys and Katie too!
A view of the Arch through another small arch on the way.
Greg sharing a special moment with Canyon.
Such a spectacular Arch with amazing views of Arches National Park.
At the beginning of this hike is a small panel of petroglyphs.

Sego Canyon Petroglyphs

We love Sego because of its variety of pictographs and petroglyphs. Some dating all the way back to the archaic period.
If you spend time looking it's amazing what you will find in this panel.
Katie getting up close with an 8 foot tall painting.
Aliens? You decide.
Canyon's second visit to this Canyon.
Amazing details but what about the arm?
This is a Canyon we would love to spend more time exploring.

Canyonlands Needles District

Cowboy Camp was a great kid friendly hike.
Sawyer was amazed when he found out these pictographs dated back 2000 years!
We were excited to find more pictographs on this hike.
It was a good thing no one was afraid of heights. This was the second ladder we had to maneuver down...a bit scary when having to carry babies!
Beautiful scenery as always anytime you are in Canyon country!
Awesome fall colors still present in Moab area!
We took a detour on our way to Canyonlands to see Newspaper Rock. Canyon wanted Thomas and Molly to experience this momentous occasion.
Newspaper Rock is a famous petrolglyph where Anasazi would post the success of their hunts.
