Rice Cereal

My brother experimented with Rice Cereal and I have to say he's in need of some practice. He had fun rubbing himself in it but not so sure he ate any of it.
Not a big fan.
Eating took so much effort for my brother that it put him right to sleep.
I enjoyed a magazine while watching my brother eat.
(Canyon woke up, grabbed a magazine, climbed in his chair and started reading...totally random and hilarious!)

August Adventures

I just got back from a mini vacation to South Dakota.
Visiting the Presidents is pretty serious so it's important to look the part. Mom and Dad took me to the Kangaroo Ranch! This is my friend Joey.
This is Joey's daddy.
I also got to pet some wallaby's.
Whenever I see flowers I pick them for my mommy!
This is downtown Deadwood SD. I think mom and dad found it interesting but ME...
not so much.
Taking a break listening to daddy tell me all about Wild Bill...again...not so interesting:)
And Butch Cassidy the Sundance Kid...hmmm...NOPE...don't really care about that either.
Now this is what I call interesting. Playing play dough with my cousins!
I did think these faces on the rock where pretty cool.
Turns out they are famous Presidents...who would've known!
Baby Sawyer was also on this trip although he is usually attached to mom in some fashion so photo ops are few and far between for him.
My most favorite memory was seeing the 1880's train.
I love trains and hope I can ride on a real one some day!
The only train I could climb on.
Fun at the hotel
Bath time at home
My favorite brother!
Cleaning up a mess!
Making a mess!
Visiting Grandma Cannell
Playing at the park
Sawyers fun time!

Sawyer's 4 Month Celebration

It's hard to believe Sawyer is 4 months old today!
We decided to make the trip to Rocky Mountain National Park today and went on a little hike around Sprague Lake.
Beautiful boy...Beautiful View We decided to hike to the lake even though you can drive right up to it...it took away from the adventure and we didn't want to be tourists:)
Family Shot
Taking a break to have a picnic
Daddy making us laugh!
It's very common to see elk in the park. This one was a giant!
On the way home we saw Big Horn Sheep in the Canyon. We even got a picture of two mating but didn't think it was appropriate for the blog:)
4 Month photo shoot
Sawyer had his 4 month checkup on Wednesday and he is off the charts for his height and his weight. He is already 19 lbs! His head was in the 75th percentile.
Canyon had his 2 year check up and is in the 50th for weight, 85th for height and his head is still off the charts:)

July

What have I been up to you ask? Well, let's see... Dad had his annual work picnic and it was a hot one! So hot I had to take off my shorts and just take a moment to cool off in the hot sand.
Since the sand didn't do the trick, I ventured bravely into the cool water.
Sawyer hung out on our make shift changing table.
Yes...I know...He's cute...everyone tells me that...
Daddy says he gets his cuteness from him...not so sure I believe that!
Dad gets pretty tired trying to take care of us kids and will tell mommy he is going to put me down for a nap. After some time, mommy will come to check on us and find daddy sleeping before me!
Dad teaches me all sorts of cool tricks. This one is him filling up his mouth with water and letting me push on his cheek which forces the water to spray right out of his mouth...pretty cool.
My turn.
Bubbles have to be the next coolest thing besides my dad of course.
Playing at Grandpa and Grandma's house.
Bambi came to visit us and wanted me to show her how to slide on my playground.
Great Aunt Irma and Great Uncle Russ came to visit us! I also got to meet Grandpas other sister Marilyn and Great Uncle Roger but no pictures of them...bummer.
We ventured to Wyoming to Frontier days and witnessed this pretty cool moment...a mommy antelope feeding her babies.
This is Mr. Bull. He was about as excited to see me as I was to see him.
I also got to meet some real cowboys who would not let me give them a ride in the stroller.
It was a fun day, but a hot day. We didn't stay long but I enjoyed the different scenes of what life must have been like back in the day.
