Trip to the Coast

We were so excited to go see the ocean but cautious of the big noises we were hearing. I reassured Sawyer that it would be ok.
And that was all it took for him to get that mischievous look in his eyes.
I have to admit I am the cautious and practical one in the family so when I see HUGE waves and LOUD sounds, I think it's best to just stay a safe distance away from all that.
Sawyer is brave and a bit of a dare devil so he was quite comfortable being up close with daddy by his side.
Halee was the bravest of all and once off her leash she did not stop!
Mom and Dad
I was super happy to find this stick that washed up on shore just for me!
Sand is the perfect canvas for creating a masterpiece.
Mommy's boys
This was just seconds before the water snuck up on mom and soaked her. Thankfully she was quick enough to sweep up Sawyer and keep him dry. And I was able to say "told you so, mom."
Sawyer taking in the views.
Daddy's boys. Can't go to the ocean without stuffed animals and buzz light year.
Our next adventure was to Munson Falls and we were prepared with our new rain boots!
Sawyer and I were amazed at how big this waterfall was!
We had so much fun on this little hike.
Watching the falls.
How come I am so cute you ask? Well (his response) daddy?
I love my little brother
With all the rain, we knew there would be puddles to be found!
Our hiding tree.
LOVE this picture of Canyon
We had to play our favorite Tiger/Monster game with daddy!
He found us!
Another adventure to the Aquarium. These are our tickets in!!
We found cool caves...
And Sawyer made sure to kiss all the sea animals.
Don't try this at home...we are professionals.
This was our road block on the way to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Thank goodness there was another way to get there. With all the rain, the hillside completely fell into the road.
And this is where all the umpalumpas work.

And Sawyer made sure to kiss the cow good bye and thank him for all the milk and cheese he provides to his tummy.

What a great adventure to the coast. The first time we stayed at the beach house was when Canyon was four months old. We never could have dreamed of being able to recreate those memories over and over. Such a special place. Thank you Speedster!!

CUTIES

Super clean bath boys! The boys love taking baths and would sit in the tub for hours if I let them. I have to drain the water out of the tub and wait for them to start getting cold before they will agree it's time to get out:)

BEST DATE WITH MY HUSBAND EVER!

Today was such a special day for Greg and me. Greg bought a season pass this year to Bachelor and I decided with the kids that I would try to take up cross country skiing, so this day was not on my raider until last night when I sent a text to our amazing baby sitter who was available to watch the boys.
We could never be prepared for how beautiful this day was. This was only the 5th day the summit of bachelor was open so we made it all the way up to only have our breath taken away by how magnificent the views were from up here.
So many memories flooded back to us. When Greg and I took a year off to travel, we spent 4 months in Steamboat, CO as snowboard instructors living in our 5th Wheel in FREEZING weather all winter long. We spent each and every day in our snow gear and putting it back on today was such a fun and scary feeling!!
This is my amazing husband who I love SO much. It was on the snowlift we fell in love and knew that someday we would be husband and wife.
It took me a couple of runs to get my confidence up but it really did come back. The last time I was on my board, I was pregnant with Canyon.
When I put my snowboots on I quickly realized my feet were a little bigger since having 2 kids and my boots were TIGHT! When we got off the mountain I could not feel my frozen numb feet but it was SO worth it!!
The best part of our day was coming home to our boys running to the door and yelling, "MOMMY, DADDY"!! We realized in our 3 1/2 years of being parents how important it is to take this time away together and do something we love doing. I am going to join Greg once a month on the mountain and make this a date!!

TUMALO FALLS EXCURSION

What is this you ask? FUN...that's what! As I get bigger, I have found that FUN is everywhere you look...you just gotta get out and look!
Sawyer even discovered his own kind of fun today, riding in the Chariot on skis!
Snowshoes are another great invention and allow me to walk in super deep snow.
If this in not fun I don't know what is.
Not to mention the scenery.
Oh and this is my mom and dad. They were patient enough to let me snow shoe all by myself and explore the deep snow even if it meant not making it to the falls.
Thanks dad for always taking us on the best adventures of all!
