Week 6

My brother is 6 weeks old today and to celebrate I thought it would be nice for him to be clean!
I stood over him to make sure he was getting all the necessary parts clean. Since I am a big boy, I can stand on the kitchen counter...I wouldn't recommend it if you are under the age of 22 months.
Mom is telling us a story about how I use to get a bath in the big tub with mommy everynight since I didn't want to have anything to do with this tub my brother is in. He seems to like it.
Moms favorite look from baby Sawyer
Yesterday I went to the park up Big Thompson Canyon. I got to see a rattle snack and lots of stellar jays. It was a beautiful day! Before going out to play you must give your body fuel. I would highly recommend a good hearty pancake with lots of milk to wash it down.
This is another risky manuver so make sure to ask your mommy before trying to climb HUGE rocks!
When you summit big rocks like this one you definitely need to pose for a picture!
This is our new ride. You can tell how enthused I am to get to share it with my baby brother.
I have to say being a big brother is a big task but I am starting to love my baby brother Sawyer.

How To Catch a Lady Bug

Catching Lady Bugs can be rather complicated so I wanted to give you some tips on how to attempt this difficult task.
First you must be able to spot the Lady Bug. This is the most exciting part! Serious concentration is necessary...
to be able to scoop up the lady bug.
Whatever you do, do not let the lady bug touch you...this is VERY scary.
If it does try to touch you drop all your catching equipment FAST and run to your mommy!

Weeks 4 & 5

Grandma (moms mom) and Grandpa Dircks came all the way from MN to visit us! The best part about having grandparents is I get to do pretty much whatever I want...like watch movies...over, and over, and over!
Grandpa Keith let me tell him all about my favorite Cars characters!
And just when mom thought my movie watching was over, Grandma blessed me with Horton Hears a Who!
This is my brother Sawyer at 4 weeks old. We took him on a hike to a waterfall close to the house.
He slept most of the way but I was sure to wake him up once we got there.
I can't wait to show baby Sawyer all the fun hikes we get to go on!
The boys wishing Grandpa Cannell a Happy Birthday!
Looking out my bedroom window at all my deer friends.
It wasn't me!

3 Weeks Old

Today Sawyer had his first "real" bath and actually seemed to enjoy it. He is still sleeping most of the day away.
And getting bigger and bigger by the moment.
We love when he is awake and enjoy his many facial expressions.
Even though Sawyer is only 3 weeks old it feels like he has always been with us. As much as I want the day to go by until daddy gets home I am reminded to cherish each moment I have with both boys because they are so suddenly gone. As I get ready to begin my night of being awake with him I can only be thankful for these moments that will soon go away, where I can hold my son for as long as I want, kiss him as many times as I want and just stare at him and thank God for trusting in me to take care of these beautiful boys.

We Grow Em Big!

It's true! I am actually bigger than my brother except for my head which is significantly smaller. At my two week visit to the Dr. I am weighing in at 9 lbs 7 oz! I am in the 80th percentile for my height and weight and my head is only in the 40th...Canyons head was always in the 100th! I am having to wear 3-6 month body suits since my length is super long!
I sleep often as it is necessary to grow even bigger!
Mommy thinks I look like my daddy...especially my luscious lips!!
I also was blessed with my daddy's hair!
Daddy calls me ET...not very nice I know but could it be?
Mom thinks I look like an angel...I would have to agree.
My brother is just starting to take interest in me. I can't blame him since all I want to do is eat away his time with mommy. I am learning to share her a little more.
