July

What have I been up to you ask? Well, let's see... Dad had his annual work picnic and it was a hot one! So hot I had to take off my shorts and just take a moment to cool off in the hot sand.
Since the sand didn't do the trick, I ventured bravely into the cool water.
Sawyer hung out on our make shift changing table.
Yes...I know...He's cute...everyone tells me that...
Daddy says he gets his cuteness from him...not so sure I believe that!
Dad gets pretty tired trying to take care of us kids and will tell mommy he is going to put me down for a nap. After some time, mommy will come to check on us and find daddy sleeping before me!
Dad teaches me all sorts of cool tricks. This one is him filling up his mouth with water and letting me push on his cheek which forces the water to spray right out of his mouth...pretty cool.
My turn.
Bubbles have to be the next coolest thing besides my dad of course.
Playing at Grandpa and Grandma's house.
Bambi came to visit us and wanted me to show her how to slide on my playground.
Great Aunt Irma and Great Uncle Russ came to visit us! I also got to meet Grandpas other sister Marilyn and Great Uncle Roger but no pictures of them...bummer.
We ventured to Wyoming to Frontier days and witnessed this pretty cool moment...a mommy antelope feeding her babies.
This is Mr. Bull. He was about as excited to see me as I was to see him.
I also got to meet some real cowboys who would not let me give them a ride in the stroller.
It was a fun day, but a hot day. We didn't stay long but I enjoyed the different scenes of what life must have been like back in the day.

Bubbles and Horses

We were invited to go to Lindas house today and feed her horses! Sawyer was pretty excited about it too!
Mom and dad were shocked that I fed the horses.
I was so brave!
chubalicious!
Linda also had bubbles for me to play with!
I think I need to come here more often!
Bubbles!!
Thanks Linda and Tim for having us over. I had so much fun!

Medicine Bow Hike, Wyoming

Yes this is snow...in July...in Wyoming. We were not prepared for the cool weather since it was 90 degrees before we left. Dad took the time to let me write in the snow with my stick!
Attempt 1 at family shot.
Such a beautiful place
Sawyer slept through most of it.
Second Attempt
We were glad we took the trip here and look forward to another visit.

Handprints on My Heart

After church today we went on a little adventure to find a place to cool off. Canyon loves to throw rocks and sticks in the water. His wet little hand left this beautiful print on a nearby dry rock. It's moments like this that stop me in my tracks and I take a picture...one that will not only be a print on a rock but a permanant print on my heart. I stare off at my sleeping baby who is so peaceful and unaware of the beauty that is surrounding him at this very moment. The water, rocks, trees, and mountains...
The hot sun warming his little toes...
Pure, Simple, Beautiful.
I catch my husband kissing his boy he never knew he could love so much.
I see a face that makes my heart smile
A face that makes my heart laugh
And I wonder what his little heart is feeling, thinking...
And I look back at him on our way home and remember all the special moments that were just forever imprinted on my heart.

I love my brother!

Having a brother to love is very special. Sawyer is my bud and is so nice to me.
He lets me give him kisses...
He loves when I squeeze him tight...
And loves his hand held just right.
