Dee Wright and Proxy Falls

Monday's adventure took us to Dee Wright Observatory.  A great place to meander through lava and climb up to the "castle" and look out at all of the mountains.
You must bring swords when going into a castle since there could be bad guys at any corner!
 Always prepared!
My camera can not capture the beauty of this place.  The green trees up against the lava rock is spectacular not to mention the blue sky and mountains everywhere you look!

The best bike trails exist here also.  So fun to be up close to the lava.
After the observatory we headed to Proxy Falls.  We fueled up first and then embarked on another amazing hike.
The boys are great little hikers!
 Huge beautiful trees!
 Canyon being Canyon...sweet brother.

Canyon and I went ahead of Sawyer and daddy and almost lost them since we took the wrong trail...imagine that...me?  Thankfully we found them after we went back to find them.
We were able to hike down into this falls and climb right where the water was flowing down.  So much fun!

 Breathtaking place.
If you look real close you can see us sitting in the water:)
This sums up their personalities to a T!
 Hugs for daddy!

 Bottom of Proxy.
 Spectacular falls

 Worth the trip FOR SURE!!
Refueling after our great adventure with some super juicy plums!
Thankful!!!
